Something to keep an eye on

 So at this point it is safe to say that we are in the midst of a full blown coaching search, several potential suitors have already interviewed. Some of this candidates have given us the cold shoulder, and some have simply not the requirements outlined by the Dolphins brass. One thing we know for certain is the fact that with Nolan leaving, and Daboll very possibly following his tracks out of Davie ( which honestly shouldn’t shock anyone) the perspective in this coaching search should widen significantly. I guess where I’m going is we are down to 3 men who the bifecta believe are qualified to lead this team where they envision it must go (Mcoy, Philbin, and Bowles) thats great it really is because the Senior bowl which signifies the beginning of the draft process is a few days away. This also means that in those 3 men should have shown several key components that are of tremendous importance to become a successful head coach in the NFL. First the ability to lead men, that IT factor that would encourage the weakest of men to follow him in to a dark alley in the middle of the nght and show no fear.(Also referred by many as the aura). In addition to these he has to have the ability to adjust. He must be able to adjust to the inevitable inconveniences such as injuries, short weeks, even weather conditions. However these three things will be completly irrelevant if he cant adjust to the men in between the white lines. 

. He must be able to not only recognize talent but adjust his philosophies, gameplans, strategies to his players strengths. This is the only he would be able to do what a head coach is supposed to do. maximize talent, we all know potential could very easily turn in to wasted talent. That is what leads me to my next point, preety much the essence of this article. Just like the players depend on the coach, the coach also depends on the players. That’s not necessarily an issue. However the key that links what the coach is preaching and knowa each individual player on a more personal basis are the position coaches. There is a saying around the national football leage that rings very true, and it goes as follows a coach is only as good as the coaching staff he puts in place. Makes since doesn’t it? after all a fundamental part of what a head coach does is take in the info passed on to him from his offensive,defensive and special team, then its up to the head coach to digest that information analyze it, and only then can he use it to tailor everything to what works best to the strength of his players. The bottom line is plain, and simple. Now that Nolan is gone to Atlanta it is crucial that we find a coach that not only meets the required guidelines mentioned above, but also put together a quality coaching staff.The in ability a head coach has as a head coach could pretty much define his tenure as the head men. Simply put not having a qualified coaching staff is pretty much like having no extremedies, you wouldnt get very far would you? So all in all here is to hoping that the bifecta takes this key factor, which believe it or not can be very easy to overlook ( Like last year when they made Tony a lame duck coach  cutting his coaching manhood if you will) I really bealive this truly hindered the amount of options he had to choose from. Luckily Daboll was a pleasant surprise. Granted this is in the past but it needs to be brought up here and in the mind of Ross and Ireland. There is a valuable lesson that came out of all of that fiasco, an unwritten rule which is a part of the buisness side of the game we love, and cherish.Hopefully the men leading the charge see it also. This is something we should keep a close eye on isnt it?
